ART OF THIS is a creative project in Minneapolis, MN.

From 2005-2010, Art of This functioned as an artist-run gallery and project space that exhibited the work of emerging and underrepresented artists from the local area and beyond. With month-long exhibitions, the One-Nighter Series, the Tuesday Improvised Music Series and a summer residency program, AOT became a leading alternative and independent art space in the Twin Cities through its artist-centric approach. At the end of 2010, AOT closed the doors of its venue.

Currently, AOT and its co-directors, John Marks and David Petersen, uphold its mission to serve as a platform for artists. The organization continues to sponsor the Tuesday Music Series, has participated in site and time-specific projects, and has created a new website to support a community of rigorous and forward-thinking artists who share in AOT’s philosophy. AOT also continues to program its annual One Nighter Series, which will occur every Friday evening from September 21st-November 16th, 2012, at its temporary venue, 3149 1/2 Hennepin Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55408.
